Basic Rider Course
Cost if you are 20 and under: $150.00
Cost if you are 21 and over: $250.00
The Basic Rider Course is designed to accomodate riders with little or no experience, however riders with years of experience use the class to tune up their skills. Student have 5 hours of classroom instruction and 10 hours of riding in a controlled safe environment. Motorcycles and helmets are provided by Bikesmart Motorcycle Training. You are welcome to use your own helmet providing it is DOT approved.

DVD's and textbooks are used during the classroom to show motorcycle controls, operation, and proper riding gear. The textbooks are yours to keep. Our classroom format encourages you to ask questions and share your views in open discussion with other students in your class. You will not be lectured to.
During the Basic Rider Course seminars, students learn how to operate a motorcycle safety. Our emphasis in on safety, special skills, and the mental attitude necessary for dealing with traffic and everyday situations. Students start with straight-line riding, turning, and stopping. You will work your way up to shifting, maximum braking, swerving, and cornering.

Advanced Ridercourse
Cost: $190.00
Techniques that extend beyond basic riding are addressed in the ARC.
Advanced riding techniques are not intended to encourage or endorse riding at higher speeds, but are provided to improve the performance capabilities of riders, particularly related to overall control, cornering and emergency maneuvers.
The overall aim is to provide rider development in the areas of risk management, decision making, riding strategies and choices.
The course consists of approximately 3 hours of classroom and 5 hours of riding, we encourage you to ride your own bike, whatever the style.
You will practice, quick swerving, obstacle avoidance techniques, traction control, maximum braking, and limited space maneuvers just to name a few. All skills you can use whether you are touring cross-country or just riding down to the corner store.
During the course you will be starting your bike often; make sure you have a well charged battery before attending class. There are no refunds for mechanical breakdowns.
Naturally, riders who want to take the Advanced Rider Course must be proficient in basic riding skills.
